The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., announced Tuesday their participation in a community grassroots effort to supply local less fortunate children with sufficient school supplies and ensure that the students start the school year off right. The Creig Northrop Team, collectively raised donations for this effort that was organized by Baltimore Raven’s player Willis McGahee’s Foundation in conjunction with the Howard County Association of Realtors.  The community based effort enabled underprivileged students to go back to school with backpacks full of school supplies.

Willis McGahee presented The Creig Northrop Team with breakfast Tuesday morning at their weekly meeting in celebration of the Team’s contribution towards the fundraiser. The breakfast took place at Claret Hall at the River Hill Shopping Center in Clarksville, Maryland.

“The Creig Northrop Team is very excited to learn the results of this community effort,” said Creig Northrop, President of The Northrop Team, “As a team we enjoy giving back and working with our community. The Willis McGahee Foundation is an exceptional organization and its mission speaks to ideals and principals that The Creig Northrop Team feels very strongly about.  It was great to celebrate this achievement as a team this morning and having the opportunity to met Willis McGahee, himself.”

The Willis McGahee Foundation was established to help underprivileged children in the Baltimore area by providing them with the tools, resources and encouragement they need to become self sufficient young people with a sense of high self-worth. Representatives from The Willis McGahee Foundation and The Howard County Association of Realtors delivered the backpacks and school supplies to a Howard County Program called ‘Prepare For Success’ which distributed the gift through the Howard County Public School System.
